How do we commission Pure Felt to create art for our building?
Please send us an e-mail and we will contact you to discuss next steps. We will be curious about your social goals, what you want the social impact of your project to have as its focus, where you prefer the art work to be created, the involvement of your employees, if any, and your budget and timeline.
We don’t need art for our building but would like to sponsor a project in our community, how do we start?
Please send us an e-mail and we will contact you to discuss next steps
How long does a project take?
This will vary based on your wishes. We will jointly agree on a timeline. The duration of a project basically depends on the size of the artwork, the number of trainees you want to involve, your budget, the country where we will create the artwork, the CSR goals you want to achieve and the timeline you envisage. In the Flower of Shembe project for example we trained and employed 5 people for a period of 2-months, in the Serve project we involved 12 people for a period of 9-months.
We have a charitable organization that we already support, can Pure Felt work with them to create our art?
Yes. Working together with foundations and NGO`s is an essential part of the way how we work, particularly with charitable organisations in the fields of women empowerment, youth unemployment and arts & culture development. The charitable organisations help us to connect with trainees and other relevant parties and stakeholders on location and help us with CSR reporting and other admin and support needs. We would be delighted to get in contact with your charitable organization and to collaborate with you and them to develop and execute the roll-out of your CSR felt art project. In our projects in South Africa we have worked together with the Youngblood Foundation.
As part of our CSR program we contribute volunteer hours, can our internal team work on a Pure Felt project?
Our projects usually include the involvement of employees in various ways. At all times we encourage a lot of interactive communication in the preparation and progress of the project and employees take up various supportive roles of e.g. co-felter, co-project team member, co-mentor, or co-curator of the opening installation/exhibition. Often we do felting presentations or create the artwork partly at the corporate organisation’s location.
How do we donate?
Please click DONATION or send us an e-mail and we will contact you with further details. We are a registered tax-exempt Swiss nonprofit charity association. Donations to us are deductible from your taxable income as a charitable contribution. We report on a recurrent basis in a fully transparent manner. You can choose which of our projects, or specific activities you would like us to attribute your donations and our independent trust account structure safeguards that you will get regular transparent information on where and when your money spent.
Where in the world do you work?
To date the majority of our projects have taken place in South Africa (Cape Town and Johannesburg) and since April 2016 also in Jordan (Fifa and Amman). We have also taken up projects with unaccompanied minor refugees in Switzerland. We are excited to expand our impact to other countries, amongst others to Peru. Our concept of building partnerships with corporates under their CSR programs and with other charitable organisations around the world makes us flexible.
